SHINE 2013

March 22, 2013

Shine is a party that Flatirons Community Church (my church) puts on for people that may not get to go to the party, prom, homecoming or anything along those lines. We believe we should reach out to everyone… and that includes people with special needs. This year over 1,000 guests and 1,500 volunteers joined in on this special night.

Guests were fitted for dresses and tuxes weeks prior to the event so that they could look their best for this unforgettable night.

The night of guests were treated to a dinner, able to get their pictures taken, participate in various games, and then dance the night away on the dance floor.

Each guest was allowed to bring one caretaker too, which was catered to and pampered that night as well.

It’s an incredible event that humbles you and reminds you that even though life may be difficult at times, you can always chose to SHINE.
