International Women’s Day
March 8, 2013Today, Friday March 8, 2013 is International Women’s Day.
Observed since the early 1900s, International Women’s Day has become a global day of recognition across developed and developing countries alike and in some places like China, Russia, Vietnam and Bulgaria today is a national holiday. Every year on this day thousands of events are held to inspire women and celebrate the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.
